Your Guide to Fair Play in The Scape

To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair experience for all players in The Scape, we’ve established the following Codes of Conduct. By participating in the game, you agree to adhere to these principles:

1. Respect Others

• Treat all players and community members with kindness, dignity, and respect.
• Avoid using abusive, threatening, or discriminatory language or behavior on The Scape’s community space or its social media channels.
• Foster a welcoming environment where everyone feels safe to explore and engage.

2. Play Fair

• Compete honestly and uphold the spirit of fair play.
• Avoid using cheats, exploits, bots, or unauthorized third-party software to gain an unfair advantage.
• Use the game map strategically without blocking or griefing other players’ opportunities by using location hacks or other cheating methods.
• Participate in missions and  battles in a way that adds value to your journey without diminishing the experience for others.
• Report bugs or vulnerabilities rather than exploiting them.

Actions that our community consider as an action of cheating:

Logging into the same account simultaneously on multiple devices (e.g., two phones or a phone and a tablet) to duplicate rewards, interact with map elements in different locations, or exploit game mechanics.

• Impact: This disrupts gameplay balance, gives an unfair advantage, and can corrupt player data.
• Consequences: Accounts found multi-logging will face immediate suspension.

Multiple Account Usage

Players are strictly limited to one account per user and device at any given time. Creating or using multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage, such as accumulating additional Freedom Shards (FDS), is prohibited.

• Impact: This disrupts the game’s balance and rewards system, providing an unfair advantage over other players.
• Consequences: If a user is found operating multiple accounts, all associated accounts will be permanently banned, and any rewards or FDS obtained through this method will be revoked.

Geolocation Hacking
Using apps or tools to fake GPS locations to access distant map elements, such as shard clusters, resource nodes, or Rifts, without physically being in the area.

• Impact: This bypasses the game’s core geo-adventure mechanics, allowing unfair access to rewards and disrupting the competitive aspect of the game.
• Consequences: Accounts using geolocation hacking will be permanently banned, and any rewards obtained through this method will be revoked.

Exploiting Bugs and Glitches
Intentionally exploiting in-game bugs or glitches to gain an unfair advantage, such as duplicating Freedom Shards, skipping combat phases, or bypassing game challenges.

• Impact: This damages the in-game economy and diminishes the experience for honest players.
• Consequences: Exploiting bugs without reporting them will result in revoked rewards and potential account suspension.

Using scripts, bots, or third-party tools to automate gameplay actions, such as farming shard clusters, completing battles, or collecting resources without manual input.

• Impact: Automation removes the human challenge and creates an imbalance in resource gathering and progression.
• Consequences: Accounts detected using automation tools will face immediate suspension and all ill-gotten rewards will be removed.

Sharing your account credentials with others to allow multiple people to play on the same account, often to bypass cooldowns or achieve higher rewards.

• Impact: This creates an unfair advantage over players adhering to the rules.
• Consequences: Account sharing can lead to account suspension or restrictions.

Using unfair tactics to repeatedly monopolize shard clusters, Rifts, or high-value resource nodes, such as:

• Coordinating with multiple accounts.
• Camping nodes excessively to prevent others from accessing them.
• Impact: This prevents fair access for other players and disrupts the community dynamic.
• Consequences: Players engaging in monopolization tactics may lose access to contested rewards and face warnings or penalties.

Any attempts to manipulate in-game systems or economy, including:

• Circumventing cooldowns for quests or battles.
• Using unauthorized methods to inflate XP, Freedom Shards, or item rewards.
• Impact: This undermines the game’s balance and the progression system.
• Consequences: Manipulated rewards will be revoked, and offending accounts may face suspension.

Abusing blockchain or NFT-related features, such as:

• Trading NFTs or Freedom Shards outside authorized channels.
• Attempting to duplicate NFTs or use counterfeit assets.
• Impact: This damages trust in the Web3 ecosystem and creates security risks for other players.
• Consequences: NFTs or Freedom Shards obtained through fraudulent means will be revoked, and offenders will be permanently banned.

How We Detect Cheating

• Real-Time Monitoring: Automated systems track suspicious activities, including geolocation changes, excessive resource collection, and simultaneous logins.
• Player Reports: The community can report suspected cheating through in-game tools or support channels.
• Periodic Audits: Regular checks of player data ensure the integrity of progression and reward systems.

3. Maintain Integrity

• Do not engage in fraudulent activities, including scams or unauthorized NFT trading (Future case).

4. Protect Personal Information

• Respect the privacy of other players. Do not share personal or sensitive information about yourself or others.
• Never share your account details with anyone.
• Avoid phishing attempts and only interact with official game communication channels.

5. Preserve the Game Environment

• Avoid spamming, advertising, or promoting unrelated content within the Scape community spaces and social media channels.

6. Respect Intellectual Property

• Do not use, reproduce, or distribute game assets, designs, or intellectual property without permission.
• NFTs and in-game items must only be used as intended within the game environment or Freedom platform.

7. Engage Positively in the Community

• Contribute constructively to discussions in discord channel, Scape community chat and social platforms related to The Scape.
• Help newcomers feel welcome and assist others when possible.
• Report any violations of these codes of conduct to the support team.

8. Adhere to Legal and Ethical Standards

• Respect the integration of real-world exploration. Be mindful of your surroundings and stay safe while exploring map-based elements.
• Do not engage in unsafe behaviors or trespass on private property while playing.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations while playing the game.
• Avoid engaging in activities that could harm the game, its community, or its reputation.

Consequences of Violations

Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in penalties, including but not limited to:

• Temporary or permanent suspension of your account.
• Revocation of in-game items or NFTs obtained through prohibited means.
• Legal action if necessary.
